WildStar, the upcoming MMORPG from the talented folks at Carbine Studios, is littered with different classes and races for players to customize. The eight races and six classes that will be available in the final PC product should allow for each member of the community to feel like a unique, creative warrior, and the last two races – the Chua and Mordesh – were just revealed today at the ongoing Comic-Con event.
Who are these two beings that will be roaming the player-populated planet? A full description has been released by the developers after they broke the big news.
Nearly as brilliant as they are sociopathic, the Chua, are mischievous inventors of advanced weapons and technology for the Dominion, and join the previously announced Cassian, Draken and Mechari races. The Mordesh are the newest addition to the Exiles; cursed with a degenerative disease, these space zombies have become masters of artifice and deception, plying their dark arts to wreak vengeance on their Dominion enemies along with their allies – The Aurin, Humans and the Granok.
We got a chance to get our hands on WildStar at this year’s E3, citing how it seems to be “bringing individuality back to the MMO.” With the overall genre in a lull thanks to saturation and a lack of true innovation, it would be nice to be able to play something that truly stood out again. With its personality and ability to bounce back and forth between drama and humor, WildStar might just be the game to break out from the rest of the competition.
