Triumph Studios has today announced on the forums for Age of Wonders 3 that the strategy title will be pushed back to 2014.
Community manager Jimmy van der Have revealed news, noting that the game was originally supposed to launch in Autumn this year.
"We've made great progress developing the game and feel now is the time to give you heads up that we will take a bit more time creating all the features and content. Age of Wonders 3 is the largest game in the series and with the additional polish we hope we can give you an even better experience!" Triumph commented.
"Until our release in Q1 2014 we will be organising several events and are currently planning a great pre-order promotion and (for press only) presence at gamescom in Germany this August, where we will be showing more of the different classes. Stay tuned!"
Age of Wonders 3 is now set to be released at some point in Q1 2014. The turn based strategy title was originally announced in February.
The game's director, Lennart Sas, has previously commented that the game is being developed to appeal to both series' veterans and newcomers.
