The LEGO Movie Videogame, that's the actual title, has been announced as a tie-in to the upcoming The LEGO Movie which is currently in the works from Warner Bros. and will mark LEGO's debut on next-gen consoles.
The game will be released next year for PS3, PS4, PS Vita, PC, 3DS, Wii U, Xbox 360 and Xbox One and is being developed by TT Games – the creators of most of the LEGO games over the past few years.
Tom Stone, the managing director of TT Games Publishing, commented, "We're thrilled to be able to give kids the joy of reliving Emmet's adventures in becoming virtual Master Builders with The LEGO Movie Videogame.
"Players will be taking on the ultimate missions to save the LEGO world and use their virtual building prowess to build unimaginable sets and creations."
Those who pick up the game will of course be able to construct huge LEGO creations using 90 characters over the game's 15 levels.
