Mod guru Ben Heck made an Xbox 360 that looks like an Atari 2600. In case you haven't heard of him, Ben is well known for his work in the case modding scene. His latest work is sponsored by Atari.
"Since these games are on new systems, it made perfect sense to build a 1970s Atari-styled Xbox 360 portable," says Heck. "It's basically the most Ben Heck-type project we could possibly build."
Heck gutted an Xbox 360 Slim and fitted its innards into a custom-made Atari 2600-style case. He hooked the whole thing up to a 20-inch ASUS VE208T widescreen which he took apart, to use as the display.
True to his form, Heck made it so that the new design retains the Atari 2600's switches for ejecting the disc and synchronizing the controllers, giving the machine an authentic feel.
