Total War: Rome 2 will feature many improvements in the upcoming release, including various weather conditions during battle.
In the latest screenshots of Rome 2, players will manage their armies under fall of rain and snow occurring at the foot of Mount Vesuvius. The various weather conditions won't apply to specific maps; it the weather may change during game.
In the above screenshot, you can see the same location with rain, shine, overcast and snow changing the appearance of the surroundings.
On the Creative Assembly Facebook page, the screenshot comes with the caption:
"It’s pretty hot here in the UK at the moment, but what’s the weather like in Total War: ROME II at the foot of Mount Vesuvius? Hmm, seems changeable…"
The caption suggests that the upcoming strategy game will feature a dynamic weather system; it just remains unclear if it will change during battle or remain an option in the menus.
