Are you not done exploring Hope County yet? Far Cry 5 released back in March of this year from development studio, Ubisoft, where players are introduced to Joseph Seed, a cult leader that has essentially taken over control of Hope County in a grand scheme to protect those who worship his religion from an upcoming pandemic.
Of course, the people of Hope County have started to build up a resistance, but the cult has grown far too big for Hope County to send word outside for help. This is where players come in as you’ll step into the role of a junior deputy sheriff who is tasked with taking down Joseph and his brainwashed cult leaders.
Overall, the game had a positive reception despite there being some controversies due to the religious fanaticism leading up to its release. Now that the game has been out for a while, you’ve likely already played through it completely and its DLC expansions.
Ubisoft has recently released a new update for the game which adds a New Game Plus mode along with a harder difficulty called Infamous. For those unfamiliar with New Game Plus mode, this will allow players to restart the game while keeping all of their items, weapons, perks, challenges, and arcade progressions.
In some regards, this mode will give players the ability to stack certain perks. With that said, if you’re looking for a harder challenge then the Infamous difficulty may be worth trying. This will make the enemies come packed with heavier blows and more health. Lastly, for those who try New Game Plus on the Infamous difficulty will earn the new Rook Outfit along, Ubisoft Club Badge, along with an achievement or trophy.
