The creators of the DayZ mod (as opposed to DayZ, the standalone game) continue to update the mod for Arma II even as development progresses with the standalone title.
A few days ago, the mod's developers issued a new changelog of all the additions that will be going into the game in the upcoming 1.7.8 version. The mod currently sits at version 1.7.7.
Among the many features coming to the mod is an entirely new UI, which partly resembles a notebook. You can see it in action in the screenshot below:
