Fallout 76 B.E.T.A. Will Be The Full Game

Progress from beta will continue into the full game.

When it comes to betas, developers tend to cut out a small portion of the game forcing players to only enjoy the particular moments or gameplay mechanics the studio predetermined before the full game eventually releases. One of the bigger video game titles coming out from Bethesda that is featuring a beta is Fallout 76, and it looks like they won’t be following that particular trend when it comes to their beta. This was one of the big video game announcements made at Bethesda’s E3 press conference where we found out that the Fallout title wouldn’t be in the same realm as the other main installments to the franchise.

Instead, developers decided to make an online multiplayer experience where players emerge from a vault and are tasked with setting up the new world. This would mean building up cities and fighting off hostile enemies or player groups.

Of course, building up to the actual launch is a beta or what Bethesda is titling B.E.T.A., Break it Early Test Application. For those who preorder the Fallout 76, Bethesda will grant access to their upcoming beta where not only players can help test servers and potentially find bugs for the developers to fix, but also have access to the entire game.

Think of this beta as more of an early access title where nothing is off limits. When the beta comes to an end, the progress made will bleed right into the full game. Likewise, those in the beta will have full access to make videos, stream or post screenshots online as there will be no NDA.

This is currently their goal for the beta but if you would like to hold out and pick up a copy of the game yourself then you won’t have very long to wait. Fallout 76 will launch on November 14, 2018, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
