Level-5 Studio, which is currently working on the Studio Ghibli project Ni No Kuni, has just opened an office in Santa Monica, crewed by five employees, studio boss Akiko Hino revealed today in an interview with Nikkei's Trendy Net.
The studio will not be working on localizing Level-5's Japanese games but will instead be developing games specifically for the U.S. market. Hino says that an announcement about the company's upcoming games will be made at this year's Level-5 Vision press event.
The studio will continue to develop games for the Nintendo platform, including titles in the Professor Layton series and Inazuma Eleven.
