It may not be the Just Add Water-developed game we heard about this morning, but Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection might just be the perfect product for fans of this legendary series. The eight-game pack includes almost every Metal Gear-themed piece of content to ever be released, and thankfully, the massive pack is almost here. Instead of simply waiting around for the final release, though, let’s all take a look at the most recent trailer produced by Kojima Productions.
Konami wants you to live the legacy, and it’d probably be best to do so before Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain arrives on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Included in this value pack is the original Metal Gear Solid, the recently introduced Metal Gear Solid 2: HD Edition, the Big Boss-themed Metal Gear Solid 3: HD Edition, and the PSP’s wonderful Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD. That lineup alone is worth the price of admission.
However, the fun doesn’t stop there. Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions, Metal Gear Solid 4: Trophy Edition, and the original MSX Metal Gear games, which were seen on the PlayStation 2 via Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence, will all be stuffed in there, too. For those who’d rather read about Snake, two Ashley Wood interactive comic books, Metal Gear Solid: Digital Graphic Novel and Metal Gear Solid 2: Bande Dessinée, will also be available.
That’s quite the complete package, and if you’re looking to indulge in the narrative insanity, Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection will be out July 9 for PS3.
