Assassin’s Creed 4 Has a Season Pass, DLC Features New Assassin

June 21, 2013 by Stephen Daly

Season pass offers access to both single-player and multiplayer packs.

AllGamesBeta has spotted the season pass for Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag on BestBuy's website which reveals that the game's DLC will feature a new assassin.

According to the season pass description Black Flag's additional content will cast players as protagonist Edward Kenway's first mate, Adewale.

"Pre-order Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag Season Pass now for the chance to play as Adewale, a new assassin who will take you even deeper into the real explosive events of the Golden Age of Pirates," the listing reads.

The game's season pass costs $19.99 which is said to be a saving of $20 compared to buying all of the game's extras individually. Included with the pass is access to "extra single-player missions, multiplayer content, and new ways to personalise your pirate experience."

Black Flag is to be released on PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U on October 31st. A release date for the PS4, Xbox One and PC versions of the game has not been announced. PlayStation owners will also get access to exclusive content staring Aveline, the heroine of Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation.

Assassin's Creed 4 is set prior to the events of Assassin's Creed 3 and focuses on Connor's grandfather, Edward. The single-player DLC for Assassin's Creed 3 was played out in three parts and saw Connor enter an alternative history in which George Washington declared himself King of America.

Yesterday, Ubisoft released a developer narrated version of the E3 demo for Black Flag.
