The Nvidia SHIELD, Nvidia's Android based handheld today received a $50 price cut a week before launch.
Originally slated to release for $349.99, Nvidia decided to drop the price to $299.99 due to a huge demand from fans.
In a post announcing the price drop, Nvidia explained that they "heard from thousands of gamers that if the price was $299, [Nvidia] would have a home run."
For people who pre-ordered the SHIELD for the original price, they will receive a charge for the new, lower price of $299.99 when the product ships.
The Nvidia SHIELD runs on Android which can stream your PC games, movies and music. The handheld will feature a 5 inch screen and can stream PC games in 720p resolution.
