EA has announced iOS and Android versions of FIFA 14 after bypassing FIFA 13 on Google's mobile platform.
FIFA 13 picked up Best Mobile Sports Game Community Award. FIFA 12 was released on both platforms. FIFA 13 was praised for its refined controls, online multiplayer modes and the addition of EA Sports Football Club. EA are set to once again overhaul the controls for FIFA 14 on mobile with players able to drag footballers across the screen to move them, swipe the ball towards goal to shoot and tap on players to pass the ball to them.
Of course, mobile isn't the only way you'll be able to play FIFA 14. The game was first announced for current-gen consoles and will be hitting PS4 and Xbox One with the all new Ignite Engine, the Xbox One version of the game will also carry some exclusive features which have yet to be unveiled. The PC version of the game will not use the Ignite Engine.
No Wii U version of the game is planned with EA citing poor sales of FIFA 13; although that could be due to the fact it was a recycled version of FIFA 12 on the console.
FIFA 14 is set to be released later this year.
