GameStop has posted new information on their Facebook page about Grand Theft Auto 5 which details how the police will try to catch players in the eagerly anticipated game which launches for PS3 and Xbox 360 on September 17th.
According to GameStop "In GTA V, police will use advanced driving tactics and or seek higher ground for better visibility to take you down while on foot."
It's not clear if this means police officers will head to higher terrain or climb building or whether it simply means they'll call in the a chopper.
In Grand Theft Auto 4 police snipers do spawn on rooftops if you head up there and cops will sometimes follow you from the ground up but it seems the AI will be much more dynamic this time round.
There are both special and collector's editions of Grand Theft Auto 5 and Sony is releasing a limited edition PS3 bundle with the game in September as well as special GTA branded headsets.
Rockstar has only confirmed the game for current consoles and have said that all screenshots are from PS3 or Xbox 360 versions of the game.
Grand Theft Auto 5 is expected to sell 18 million copies in its first year.
