Everyone might be talking about the PlayStation 4, but there are still plenty of games yet to come out for the PS3 and Vita. One of those is Stealth Inc., otherwise known as Stealth Bastard, also from Curve Digital (the studio working on bringing Lone Survivor to PS3 and Vita too). Stealth Inc. has some features you'd expect from a stealth game and some you perhaps wouldn't. So while on the one hand you play as a character without weapons or armour that can be killed in one shot, on the other you move around quite quickly.
You also respawn quickly if you die, which will happen often. I spoke to a rep from Curve Digital at EToo on Monday and he said that the developers wanted to isolate and remove the part of stealth games that is most frustrating for people: the need for patience. I played Stealth Inc. on the Vita, and it actually feels a lot like Super Meat Boy, because when you die you reappear quickly and don't have to retrace too many of your steps when giving it another shot.
Death is unavoidable in this game, too, as only someone who had watched somebody else play the game could know how to safely navigate each level on their first try. You'll rush out, get shot by a laser, try a different route, get shot by another laser, and only by much trial and error make it to the exit. It works really well on Vita, too, though you'll have to wait until later this year to see that for yourselves.
