Mark Cerny, revealed at the PlayStation 4's announcement event in Febraury as the first non-Japanese PlayStation system architect, found out what the console looked like at the same time as everyone else – at Sony's pre-E3 media briefing this week.
While talking about Knack, a game he's developing for PS4 with Sony Japan Studios, at E3 Cerny said he had wanted to wait to see the console with the rest of the world.
Cerny: I hadn't actually seen the console until Monday's event. I wanted to wait and see it when the rest of the world did. It's beautiful

The PlayStation 4 is set to be released later this year for $399 in North America and €399 in Europe and Cerny has previously said that the console will have the strongest launch lineup of any PlayStation system.
Sony Computer Entertainment CEO Andrew House called the design "sleek and visually impactful" at the company's media briefing.
Cerny has been working with Sony since the days of the orginial PlayStation and will be providing additional details about the PS4 at the GameLab conference in Barcelona later this month.
