Activision has today announced that the next installment in the hugely sucessful Skylanders franchise – Skylanders: Swap Force – will be released on both next and current-gen consoles.
Swap Force is headed to PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U, PS4 and Xbox One and the game is being developed by Vicarious Visions. A Wii version is also in the works and that's being headed up by Beenox while 3DS owners will get a version of the game produced by n-Space.
Activision has revealed that the game will be released on October13th in North America and on October 18th in Europe this year; they're most likely talking about the current-gen versions of the game however as the release dates of the PS4 and Xbox One have not yet been announced, that information will probably come at E3 next week.
Swap Force introduces flying, climbing and teleporting as well as the abilitiy to combine Skylander toys to create 256 unique combinations with the game's 16 characters.
