Square Enix has unveiled the newest trailer for Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII just in time for E3.
The trailer has Lightning speaking to some of the game's main characters, as they're all caught up in the end of the world prophecy. She makes her big return after a five hundred year hiatus only to see the end of the world, and it's up to her to prevent that particular prophecy from coming true.
The trailer itself showcases some of her cutscenes, parts in which she explores the game world in general, and a whole lot of the new combat system that's slated to grace the game, replacing the combat system of the previous iterations in the Final Fantasy XIII saga.
It goes without saying that the game represents the final saga of Lightning's story.
The game is about 70% done and will make its big appearance at E3 this year. It's expected to see release in early 2014.
