Some games just can’t stay online forever. Although single-player features will forever be accessible as long as you own the functioning disc for a game, online servers for products that either never caught on or are just too old to care about must eventually shut down. Major companies like EA, Ubisoft, and Sony recognize that fact. That's why in the coming months, Sony will be turning off the servers for a handful of PlayStation products that you may own.
The UK PlayStation Blog today posted a list of certain online products will soon only be playable solo. We’ve seen this happen in the past, but what’s interesting is the inclusion of a PlayStation Vita game. This is the first time this has occurred on the portable console. The rest, though, makes quite a bit of sense.
