Remember the Wikipad, the ultimate gaming tablet that Android users have been waiting for? Well, after a number of delays, plus the size of the thing shrinking a bit, it's finally almost here.
The new and improved Wikipad is due for arrival on June 11 in the United States, a little less than a week from now.
Once again, it's the same specs that was announced back when the device was originally slated for last October: quad-core Tegra 3 processor, 16GB of hard drive space, micro SD support for up to 32GB of additional storage, and an HDMI out.
Along with the smaller form factor are a few other concessions, like the loss of the rear camera. At least there's still a front facing camera, though it's only 2 megapixels. It should suffice for Skyping at the very least.
Where can one find one? At Best Buy, Walmart, and Tiger Direct. Again, it arrives next week for the US only. The rest of the world will have to wait till sometime "later this summer."
