Battlefield 4 will likely be the centerpiece during the EA press conference at E3. It’s one of the biggest, most-played franchises on the market, and yes, one of the only games that can stand up to Call of Duty in terms of sales figures. DICE is hard at work brining this sequel to both current and next-generation technology, but don’t think that this is all the talented developer will be bingeing to the table in Los Angeles. A new video has surfaced that promises the fans more than just another military shooter from the company.
Karl-Magnus Troedsson, the vice-president and general manager of DICE, has just released a video speaking directly to the people before E3 kicks off. Although he assures everyone that Battlefield 4 will be ready and waiting to be seen during the show, he also hints at a bit more from his team.
“Our excellent team is hard at work with Battlefield 4, of course, but we also have a couple of surprises up our sleeve,” he claims.
What could this mystery project (or projects) be? All of the Mirror’s Edge 2 rumors up to this point lead us to believe that the game will, in fact, release for next-generation platforms. We’ve seen a help page found on EA’s website, as well as the game listed for the Xbox One via Amazon. At this point, it’d be crazy for the thing to not at least be teased at this year’s show, so while it’s possible that Troedsson has even more planned, it’s very possible that Mirror’s Edge 2 will make an appearance during EA’s show.
Any other ideas? With EA now developing Star Wars games, showing Battlefront 3 could get the crowd excited.
