Gameplay footage of the upcoming standalone version of the Arma 2 mod DayZ has emerged online. While Bohemia Interactive, the game's developer, will showcase the game during E3 it is possible to pick up the alpha version of the game now through illicit means which won't be detailed here.
You can look at footage which has emerged from the leaked version of the game below, however. Though short they'll give you an idea of what alpha players can look forward to.
The game was originally set to be released last Autumn but was pushed back to this year. While there won't be mod support at launch Bohemia do plan to add the feature eventually.
DayZ began as a mod and exploded in popularity within the Arma 2 community even helping to drive sales of the title on Steam.
The alpha version of DayZ is set to go live later this month. Forum moderators and Reddit users who assitsted in development will have free access to the game which will become more expensive as it hits beta and retail respectively.
