Indie Royale has launched a new cheap bundle of indie games, which it's calling “The Hammerhead Bundle” for reasons that are currently unclear. The bundle is technically “pay what you want”, though there is a minimum – currently £3.63 (roughly $5.54) – based on what other contributors have paid. For the next three days, if you pay more than that amount you'll get five PC games: Primordia, Pressure, Forge, Richard & Alice, and Gas Guzzlers: Combat Carnage.
Primordia is an adventure game from Wadjet Eye Games, known for publishing solid games in the genre. This one is set in a dystopian future in which humans have disappeared, and you play a robot who just wants to live a quiet life of research and tinkering but ends up caught up in the fate of the world. I thought it was pretty great.
Pressure is a racing game set in a cartoony Steampunk world, with a plot that revolves around taking down a “dark lord” with a “sinister plot”.
Forge is a class-based multiplayer shooter set in a fantasy world. You can play as an Assassin, Pathfinder, Pyromancer, Shaman, or Warden.
Richard & Alice is an adventure game about two prisoners. It's set in a future in which snow covers half the Earth. The player explores both the present day, in which they control Richard, and flashbacks in which they control Alice.
Gas Guzzlers: Combat Carnage is a combat racing game in which you upgrade your vehicle as you progress.
Head over to the website if any of those games seems worth a few quid/dollars.
