The world of Grand Theft Auto is a lot like our own. They’ve got the technology that’s analogous to ours, but with jokes and shit. The Range Rover is the Landstalker, the Emperor is the Cadillac, and so forth. You get the idea.
Like the vehicles in the game, the phones too are satires or parodies or what-have-you in the world of Grand Theft Auto, and the upcoming GTA 5 is no exception with its iFruit phone, which is clearly a play on the Apple iPhone. The game itself is expected to sell 18 million copies by its publisher.
It comes with its own set of apps that players can use to navigate Los Santos, buy weapons, call up their buddies, play games, and more.
To that end, T3 has put together a concept render of the iFruit phone, replete with apps that would ostensibly allow Franklin, one of the game’s three protagonists, to mess around with.
They write: "GTA 5 iFruit concept render. What if you could buy the GTA V smartphone? We render what it could look like and the apps it might run. Let us know what you guys think."
