What two games would you most like to see smashed into a single, beautiful collaboration? World of Warcraft and The Elder Scrolls? Uncharted and Tomb Raider? Everyone has a dream project that he or she would love to see come to fruition, but it’s unlikely that a combination of Planets vs. Zombies and Mass Effect has ever really been considered. Until now, that is.
Multiple social media accounts tied to both of these popular franchises have decided to post the above image, which depicts some of the plants from PopCap Games' project within the Mass Effect universe. The picture wasn’t just posted by itself, though, as the EA account attached “Plants vs. … Reapers? #EAE3” to the Tweet. It may seem like a simple joke at first, but the “EA E3” edition makes it seem like an announcement will happen at the upcoming E3 show.
The evidence doesn’t stop there, though. The Plants vs. Zombies Facebook page also posted the photo with the text “these are my favorite Plants on the Citadel.” The same hashtag as above was used, but the most interesting information comes as you read through the comments. The moderator for the account has been responding to fans since the picture first went online, and when one person asked if this is what Plants vs. Zombies 2 will look like, the account said, “You'll have to keep an eye on our social channels for updates!”
There’s little known about the next game in this colorful little series at this time, but we do know that it will sprouting up this July.
