Konami has released a teaser trailer for PES 2014, which will be showcased at their pre-E3 Show on Thursday, June 6 2013.
The teaser doesn't show much apart from a few glimpses of the game with a lot of focus on player emotion or the agony of those misses or last minute goals conceded by your team. EA has ruled this generation with the success of its FIFA series coming off age by taking a lot of inspiration from the PES series in the early years of this generation of console cycle.
Konami has struggled a lot this generation trying to play catch up with EA in all facets of the game, whether this generation Konami will rise up to the occasion or not is something that we'll see in the following days of E3, as we get to see some gameplay footage and gameplay mechanics in action.
If there's one area where Konami seems to have an advantage this generation, it is that it'll be using the FOX Engine for PES 2014, an area where PES severely struggled this gen as it was always playing catch up. This means that at this E3, Konami's FOX Engine and EA's Ignite Engine will be going head to head for graphical supremacy. We're hoping for some giant-killing next-gen with PES reclaiming its crown which will only be a good thing for soccer fans all around the world.
