Kotaku reports that casting calls by Grand Theft Auto publisher Take-Two Interactive have been sparked by the development of a new game, codenamed “Rush.”
The Agency, which posted a casting list for the project revealed the casting director was searching for voice actors to fill the roles of a “wise cracking FBI agent” Mitch Hayes, “creepy white trash hillbilly” Clyde, “Welsh monk/cult leader/yoga teacher” Brother Adam, “swinger and Californian divorcee” Mrs. Bell, “weed evangelist” Ediie, “fat, FPS playing gamer” Kevin De Silva and “Armenian car dealer and moneylender” Harut Vartanyan.
The casting list reveals that the game takes place in modern day California, backing up previous rumors published on MCVUK that the next GTA would be set in Hollywood.
The publisher also purchased various domains, presumably for use in the game’s advertising or in-game internet. The domains they registered include CashForDeadDreams.com, SixFigureTemps.com, StopPayingYourMortgage.net, HammersteinFaust.com and LifeInvader.com.
It remains to be seen whether the new project does in fact belong to the Grand Theft Auto series, but it’s definitely a name to keep an eye out for.
