With only a few days left to E3, many game studios are ready to show off their games with some of the best trailers we see all year — Hideo Kojima is no different as he's also gearing up for the E3 Metal Gear Solid 5 gameplay trailer that could be the highlight of the event for Metal Gear fans.
According to his latest tweet, Kojima is not taking the Michael Bay approach to the next trailer which means there'll be less crashes and explosions…rather we'll be witnessing a more subtle trailer which will unravel the theme of the story. We should expect a lot of scripted sequences from this trailer. The overarching themes of previous Metal Gear series is that of "gene, meme, scene, sense, peace and revenge" and how it affects the people.
A few days ago, Kojima had also expressed the difficulty one faces when trying to show a gameplay demonstration of an open-world game, much like Rockstar is yet to show a gameplay demonstration of GTA V, due September 17. Konami has confirmed that the game will be showcased at their pre-E3 show on June 6, which they plan to stream live on the internet. Whether it'll be just the story trailer or we'll have a demo and a trailer is still to be confirmed.
