Borderlands 2: Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep DLC Will Take on a Dungeons and Dragons Theme

May 24, 2013 by Andrea Castellano

Information for the Borderlands 2 DLC reveals new weapons and story details.

The fourth piece of Borderlands 2 DLC, Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragons Keep, will put players in a table top RPG themed world directed by Dungeon Master Tiny Tina.

As players run through this fantasy world, Tiny Tina will narrate the events surrounding the world, manipulating the environment and story. As she narrates she will (by mistake), draw in monsters much too powerful for your level. She will guide Lilith, Mordecai and Brick through her imagined fantasy while the Vault Hunter also discusses what exactly happened to the world around them.

Through Tina's narration and available missions, the Assault on Dragon Keep DLC will reference many Dungeons and Dragons tropes and pay homage to the table top RPG culture.

As for the loot you can expect in the game, new weapons will shoot exploding swords (yes you read that right) and magic grenade modifications that will cause the your character to shout "lightning bolt" or "magic missiles", almost as if they intend to cast a spell.

Anthony Burch, the lead writer on Borderlands 2 and its DLC, says players should expect cameos from characters like Mr. Tongue.

The Borderlands 2: Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep will release on June 25th for $9.99 and should take around 10 hours to complete.
