When you and your friends were talking about the disastrous Xbox One reveal earlier this week, did you hear anyone say "you know, the Wii U doesn't look half bad all of a sudden"?
Apparently, some people are putting their money where their mouth is, at least in the UK. According to Nintendo Life, Nintendo's just as beleaguered system (for entirely different reasons, mind you) the Wii U Premium Pack ha seen an 386% increase of it's sales rank.
Before the Xbox One unveil, it was listed as being 243rd most popular item, and after, it is now the 5th, which is mighty impressive. Though it's worth noting that a recent price cut also recently went into effect and might also be a contributing factor towards its newfound popularity, and once has to wonder how long this jump will last.
Still, as it has been noted already, the Xbox One unveil was primarily targeted at US gamers. And as vastly different gamers in Japan might be, along with their television viewing habits, the same holds true in the United Kingdom as well.
As the former CEO of Electronic Arts said recently, it's all about the games stupid. And just as how MS work hard to grab the attention of Japanese gamers, will have to work just as hard for Europeans as well. True, they love football, a lot, but not the kind that we enjoy.
As Nintendo Life notes, now more than ever, eyes will be on the next Nintendo’s upcoming E3-centric Nintendo Direct.
