After Square Enix's failed first attempt to create a compelling version of Final Fantasy 14, Square Enix announced the date for the re-release of Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn set for August 27th.This PC and PS3 MMORPG oversaw massive reconstruction and will try again to fulfill the many wishes of Final Fantasy 11 fans.
Available at launch, you can purchase the Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn Collector's Edition that offers both in-game items and physical collectables.
Anyone can pre-order either the $39.99 regular edition or $79.99 collector's edition for early access to the full game before the official servers open. Those who pre-order will also receive a receive a Mog Cap hat and their very own Cait Sith Doll minion you can summon to accompany you.
The Collector's Edition includes both physical and digital items ranging from art books and soundtracks to exclusive helmets and mounts. The entire Collector's Edition includes:
- Exclusive game box with an illustration by Yoshitaka Amano
- The Art of Eorzea art book featuring related illustrations made during the development
- The Waning of the Sixth Sun disc that includes a video offering an explanation of the world of a Realm Reborn through the eyes of the "Warriors of Light"
- Exclusive mounts and helmets
- The Sounds of Eorzea soundtrack
- Card set with the Final Fantasy CG art
- Themed security token used to protect Square Enix accounts
