Sick of Call of Duty titles? Plenty of us are. We’ve seen new game after new game since the 2007 explosion of Modern Warfare, and not too much has been introduced to change the formula. However, it might just be time to jump back into the fold with Call of Duty: Ghosts. This is a better looking, better playing, and more personal version of what we’ve seen in the past, and according to Infinity Ward, this will be the best Call of Duty game ever made.
There will still be fast-paced shooting, addictive multiplayer, and an emphasis on player progression, but don’t expect a repeat of what we’ve seen in the past. Leaning, sliding, and leaping will help make your Ghost a much more maneuverable soldier, and the 60 FPS that the series is known for will still be around. Along with these gameplay tweaks, dynamic maps and character customization will allow players to make this Call of Duty a more personal experience.
Emotions will also bring the player even closer to the gaming experience. A dog has been added to make you more attached to the squad you’ll be following, and for the first time, the player will be controlling the underdogs. This isn’t a giant military group taking out a small insurgency – the Ghosts will have the stakes stacked against them.
This is a current and next-generation project that will be launching this holiday season. It’s not a huge departure, but expect a new experience when Call of Duty: Ghosts launches Nov. 5.
