SEGA has just put out word that Total War: Rome 2 is the fastest pre-ordered game in the Total War series to date, with over six times the number of pre-orders in its first week compared to the last game, Total War: Shogun 2.
Both the Collector's Edition and Standard Editions were heavily preordered, with over half the available copies of the former already sold out in the United States alone.
The firm says that Total War: Shogun 2 sales hit 2 million units "without a major release" to support the series, surprisingly enough.
in addition to the core game, those who pre-order the title ahead of its release will receive for free the first DLC called the Greek States Culture Pack, which comes with three exclusive factions for players to choose in the game's single- and multiplayer campaigns.
Rome 2 is set for release on the PC as an exclusive title on September 3. You can pre-order it now on Steam.
