Ghost Recon Wildlands just got a new update today which adds in the iconic spy of the 2000s, Sam Fisher into the mix. If you haven’t played the mission as of yet, there is a clever little nod towards Hideo Kojima’s Metal Gear Franchise.
At the end of the mission Sam meets up with the Ghost’s trusted provider, Karen Bowman, the two proceed to talk about how they don’t make agents like him anymore. He then references “this other guy” who was into “Army infiltration” and wore a “bandana or something”. Bowman responds that the man finally retired, to which Fisher replies, “Then it’s only me…”.
It’s a pretty great reference, especially considering the whole outcry about the Metal Gear Survive.
In other news, those that want the dialogue experience in the flesh, the game is actually running for free this weekend, read more about it, here.
