Black Ops 2 Multiplayer Goes Free-to-Play for a Weekend

May 10, 2013 by Ian Miles Cheong

If you enjoy the game, you can even purchase it at a huge discount.

Black Ops 2

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is going free-to-play for a few days over this weekend on the PC. It's for players who haven't yet had a chance to play the game. To opt in, just fire up your PC this weekend and download Black Ops 2 Multiplayer via Steam and you'll be able to play the game entirely free for the duration.

In addition to being free, Treyarch has announced that anyone who partakes in the game will be able to enjoy double XP, so you'll be able to unlock perks, kits, and weapons at twice the speed than you normally would.

If you happen to enjoy the game, you'll be able to pick it up at a 33% discount.

The double XP/free-to-play weekend will begin on May 10 at 10:00AM PDT, and last till May 13 at 10:00AM PDT. The Double XP weekend applies to all platforms, including the PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U versions.
