A few days ago, an illustration was accidentally posted on the official Rockstar website ahead of previews of Grand Theft Auto 5.
The illustration was done in classic Rockstar style, depicting Michael and Franklin as they examined a pair of assault rifles, presumably for use in a heist. In the background, blueprints of a building and a "to do list" can be spotted on a cork board, along with photographs of a building they cased for pulling their heist.
Today, three new images have surfaced, depicting three different characters: Nervous Ron, Lamar, and Michael's son Jimmy.
Nervous Ron appears to be a conspiracy theorist. He wears headphones and walks around with an old school radio.
Meanwhile, Lamar can be seen breaking into a car. He wears a pendant with the initials "LS" emblazoned onto them.
Finally, Jimmy can be seen gaming on the Xbox and flipping off his sister in the background. It's also interesting to note that Jimmy, who's wearing a "funkalot" baseball jersey has an Up-n-Atom drink by his feet, which is presumably Rockstar's version of In-n-Out Burger in California. There's also a bong, filthy sock, and a MILF ALERT magazine in the scene.
In addition to the new artwork, three new trailers were released earlier this week, full previews have gone up of the game, along with 20 screenshots.
Michael, Franklin, and Trevor will be the game's three main characters, all of whom are playable and switched between throughout the game at will by the player. GTA 5 is set for a Sept. 17 release on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. PC and next-generation console releases have not yet been announced, but it’s likely that we’ll at least see a port on the PC after the initial console lunch. Take Two will be publishing the game.
