We've just seen the recent release of a fighting game that taps into the DC Comics universe, and to great effect. So what's next? How about a special edition of Scribblenauts that does the same?
According to sources close to IGN, the next Scribblenauts will be a DC Superheroes. At one point the game was called Scribblenauts Unmasked, but it's currently going through various changes. Everything from the original design to possibly the name.
Though it was reported that the focus will definitely be on the DC Comics license. Apparently, at one point, it was to revolved around series hero Max and his quest to help out various DC heroes. Which, again, might be subject to change.
Hopefully the scenarios described remain in tact, because they sound quite cool. Like how you're supposed to traverse the sewers beneath Wayne Manor, but Killer Croc won't let you pass. IGN then goes on to explain…
When a hamburger isn’t enough, a dynamite sandwich sends Croc into a rage leading to his arrest. Robin keeps the situation under control, allowing Max to make his way inside Wayne Manor (where Batman has been manipulated by The Joker) before discovering Batgirl’s capture in the Batcave.
There's also another scenario in which Max must figure out which of the two cops he encounters is actually Clayface, and then figure a way of stopping him. In typical Scribblenauts fashion, the player can write the names of various objects, in hopes that it's the right tool for the situation.
The game is expected to be announced in June, at this year’s E3. It is also expected to be intended for the Wii U, 3DS, and PC.
