It seems nearly every modern game has microtransactions in one form or another. For some games, it tends to work with little discomfort from the player, while other gamers slap microtransactions in nearly every aspect of the game making you wonder why you paid full price for a title only to fork out more to receive content that should’ve been included in the game.
Speculation recently broke out that the upcoming God of War reboot might be one of these games with microtransactions dotted in and around it. This wouldn’t totally out of character for Sony, who have often had microtransactions in flagship first-party titles such as Uncharted and Gran Turismo.
Luckily the leading man behind the title, director Cory Barlog confirmed that the upcoming game will not have microtransactions. Responding to a fan’s question regarding microtransactions via twitter Cory Barlog responded “No freakin way!!”.

So I guess that’s that, fans won’t have pesky Microtransactions to worry about in this 2018 release.
