Firaxis’ turn-based alien shooter, XCOM 2 has just received a new patch for Xbox One, this time around the update brings about enhancements for those who own Xbox One X consoles. Considering how there was no indication beforehand that there would be any support for the Xbox One X for XCOM 2, this comes as a nice little midweek surprise.
Firaxis hasn’t detailed what the patch exactly does but I’m sure we can expect some form of patch notes soon enough (though, if the game was running at 4K, I’m sure there would be lots of noise coming from XCOM 2’s social media by now).
‘Earth has changed. Twenty years have passed since world leaders offered an unconditional surrender to alien forces. XCOM, the planet’s last line of defense, was left decimated and scattered. Now, in XCOM 2, the aliens rule Earth, building shining cities that promise a brilliant future for humanity on the surface, while concealing a sinister agenda and eliminating all who dissent from their new order. ‘
XCOM 2 is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One; an expansion for the game, War of the Chosen, was launched on the same platforms last year as well.
