Fans have finally gotten their hands on Dynasty Warriors 9, however, it hasn’t been all that smooth for all consoles – since launch PS4 has been having performance issues, specifically with regards to framerate. Now Koei Tecmo has acknowledged these issues, stating that they will be issuing out patches for the relevant consoles in the coming weeks.
On PS4, fans have the option of selecting two different modes. For the cinematic mode, the game runs at a higher resolution but has a lower framerate. For those looking for a smoother experience, fans can select Action mode, which runs the game at a higher framerate in exchange for a lower resolution.

Dynasty Warriors 9 released February 8th for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. So far, reviews for the game have been pretty mixed, with some gamers calling it unpolished, and repetitive, while others praise it for beautiful cinematics and brave transition to open-world.
‘Ancient China is depicted on a single, vast, open-world map. Also, while maintaining the series’ intuitive controls, we have included a new Musou Action system where you can experience the thrill of ‘one versus thousands’ like never before on an ever-changing battlefield. In addition, the captivating lives of our eclectic cast of officers intermingle in an expansive ‘Romance of the Three Kingdoms’ world that will allow you to feel completely immersed in the tides of history with our latest DYNASTY WARRIORS title!’
