Thief 4 Trailer Teased, Uses In-Game Footage

March 28, 2013 by Ian Miles Cheong

A trailer showing the hand of Garrett teases a much bigger reveal.

Eidos Montreal, the makers of Deus Ex: Human Revolution, are hard at work on a new game in the Thief franchise. It's called Thief, and it's a reboot of the series starring Garrett, master thief.

The game is being developed for the PC and next-generation platforms, allowing its developers to create vast open cities—which is unlike what Thief 3 was able to offer due to the limitations of the platforms it was released on.

The new game has been teased today in a short, 20 second trailer made up entirely of in-game footage. The teaser is presumably for a much longer trailer that they plan to release in the near future.

Short and simple, The trailer depicts a candle being put out by the hand of Garrett. It concludes with social media links and a date: 04.02.13 and the words "What's Yours Is Mine".

Presumably, the full trailer will be unveiled early next month on that exact date, so be sure to check back at Gameranx when it goes live.
