Divinity: Original Sin 2, the top-down hack and slash RPG has made huge waves since it’s humble beginnings from a 2 million dollar Kickstarter campaign. According to a market research brief from SuperData the game has been met with commercial success too, generating $85 Million in revenue. It’ about 42 and a half times the initial Kickstarter budget.

This means that the game is placed just a little bit above Ubisoft’s Rainbow Six Siege, and just a little below Guild Wars 2 in terms of revenue – It’s a huge feat from a game starting out so small.

The Divine is dead. The Void approaches. And the powers lying dormant within you are soon to awaken. The battle for Divinity has begun. Choose wisely and trust sparingly; darkness lurks within every heart.
