Battlefield 4 is officially in the works at DICE and Electronic Arts, and the studios showcased 17 minutes of gameplay from one of the game's single-player missions titled "Fishing in Baku". The trailer had much to offer, including the talents of Michael K. Williams (Omar from The Wire) as one of its main characters.
Among the many details present in the trailer, the AEK-971 has been confirmed to make a return in Battlefield 4, evidenced by the screen cap above. The weapon is used primarily by Russian forces in the real world, and is a Soviet/Russian selective fire assault rifle developed in the 1980s. It's based on the layout and internal design of the AK47. To this day, it's used by the Russian MVD forces and proved its worth during the second Chechen war.
Additionally, YouTube video guy and hilarious dude all around Birgirpall has confirmed on Facebook that he got to see Battlefield 4's unveiling in Sweden. He had a chance to check out the single-player campaign and adds that the developers at DICE have confirmed the existence of jet skis in multiplayer.
The studio has yet to showcase any of the game's multiplayer components, but at least we know that there's going to be jet skis in there. Jet skis previously made an appearance in Battlefield: Bad Company 2.
