Rockstar Games has released a proper host of new screenshots of their highly anticipated open-world title and the next in the popular Grand Theft Auto series, GTA 5.
The screenshots depict Los Santos in a myriad of locales, this time with weather effects, offering views of sunsets, rainy skies, seas, and so on. In one scene, a lightning bolt can be seen flashing in the distance from the pier.
The new images also depict a host of player activities, including underwater diving, skydiving, and hanging from the side of vehicles. One of the game's main protagonists, Franklin, can be seen wielding a minigun and unleashing hell on unseen enemies, as a car and a building burn in the background.
Another one of the screenshots depicts a car chase from a helicopter as it shines a spotlight on a race car that appears to be in pursuit by the police.
In all, there are ten new screenshots, and fans should have more than enough to pore over before Rockstar drops the next batch of visuals.
Grand Theft Auto V is expected for release on September 17 on both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Rockstar has not unveiled any plans to bring the game to either the PC or to next-generation consoles like the next Xbox or the PlayStation 4 as of yet.
