Excited about the imminent arrival of Thomas Was Alone to PSN? If you're a member of PlayStation Plus and you live in the EU, then you're in luck, as the indie platformer is one of the games that'll be free for Plus members to download in April. The game launches on April 24, and is free for Plus members from that moment. It's also a cross-buy title, so if you buy it (or download it for free) for PS3 you'll also get a free copy for your Vita, and it looks like it'll make a pretty good handheld game.
If that seems like a long wait (it is a whole month away), then four other games will also become free to download for PlayStation members over the course of the month. On April 3, you'll be able to get a free copy of Okami HD, Lord of the Rings: War in the North, or The Cave. On April 10, you'll be able to get Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward.
Of course, the addition of new games to the Instant Games Collection also means the removal of others. So if you want your own free digital copy of Mass Effect 3, Mortal Kombat, or Guardians of Middle Earth, make sure you download it before April 3. The same applies for Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, which will disappear on April 10, and Puddle, which Sony will remove when Thomas Was Alone replaces it on April 24.
If you aren't a member of PlayStation Plus, does anything on this list tempt you?
