MechWarrior Online sees the new addition of the Jagermech and a brand new desert-themed map called the Tourmaline Desert. Both additions are now live in a massive content update for the game which also sees the addition of improved controls for keyboard and mouse, and also the joystick.
The new player controls add a gas pedal that serves as a variable option to control the speed of your mech; the ability to lock your mech's arms; and a button to center your legs to your torso so you don't find yourself flailing around wildly during combat. The updated client will allow you to enable or disable these options in-game.
The update also adds a Testing Grounds gameplay mode so you can mess around with your mech and figure out how the game works before you join a game for real.
The developers at Piranha have also dropped new tactical tools for players to get an advantage on the battlefield, including the new consumables system and coolant flush, plus new vanity options in the form of a new Vagabond Pattern and a variety of new Mech statues for your cockpit.
MechWarrior Online is free, so it wouldn't hurt you to give the client an update.
