The official website for Deadly Premonition: Director’s Cut is now live.

The website makes this edition official, allowing gamers to pre-order copies for the PlayStation 3, and gain access to screenshots, trailers, and other media.

The Director’s Cut features updated graphics, including stereoscopic 3D support, updated controls, an extended story, and new DLC that will be available on PSN.

The open world horror game follows FBI Special Agent Francis York Morgan as he tries to find a murderer in the small town of Greenvale, and save the locals.

An extended edition of the game has been in the works for a while, and it is a greatly anticipated entry to the horror genre, especially since it was released originally only in Japan. The game was released back in 2010.

The fact that opinions on the game are mixed is an understatement, as the game holds the Guinness World Record for “Most Critically Polarizing Survivor Horror Game.” You know it has to be good with that kind of reputation.

We at Gameranx rated it on our “Top 10 Best Horror Games for the Xbox 360” list, so we were on the more positive side of critics.

The game will be released on April 30 in North America for the PlayStation 3.
