The first DLC for Dishonored, titled Dunwall City Trials, added a whole set of challenge maps that players could play in as a means to hone their abilities and compete against their friends in an online global leaderboard. Beyond that, the DLC did not add anything in the way of story, which is kind of what most people purchased Dishonored for.
The upcoming DLC, which remains nameless for now, will see players taking on the role of Daud, the assassin who killed the Empress at the start of Dishonored's campaign. In this new story-driven campaign, players will actually take on the perspective of Daud as he performs his ghastly deed against Empress Jessamine Kaldwin and subdues Corvo in the effort.
Bethesda released a screenshot (seen above) teasing the upcoming DLC on their official Twitter account.
"Daud, the leader of a group of supernatural assassins known as 'The Whalers', will be the focus of the second add-on pack," stated the studio last October.
"Make your way through new Dunwall locales and discover Daud’s own set of weapons, powers and gadgets in this story-driven campaign. How you play and the choices you make will impact the final outcome."
Like Corvo in Dishonored proper, Daud will come with his own set of supernatural abilities to aid in his assassinations.
