The overdue expansion to the 2010 side scrolling brawler love letter is here. You can download a new expansion to Scott Pilgrim Vs The World right now on PSN for $4.99. Do that. Use this reason to play that game again because it’s excellent and not just as an extention of the subject matter, it’s also an incredible game in it’s own right.
This DLC offers Scott’s Roommate and Bed-Sharer Wallace Wells as a playable character. He’s seemingly got cool moves like a counter and an area of effect explosion. He’s also the only character in the series with his life together. He’s a role model for a generation and you can be him. Some have died without this dream ever coming true.
It also adds the option of playing the game in an online multiplayer mode, which seems essential in retrospect, but at the time the game was solely limited to play while everyone’s enclosed in the same room. That’s what cavemen would do. That’s not something that we, as future people in the year 2013 would do.
The trailer’s punctuated by a track by the game’s composers Anamanaguchi. It didn’t feature on the soundtrack, but it’s taken from one of their singles. It’s called Airbrushed. You can listen to it here. It’s pretty great. Maybe you’ll like that too.
Good video game. Let’s play some tonight. Let’s all come over to my house and watch the movie together on a separate monitor. I can lend you the books too if you haven’t read them. Okay sweet see you there.
