Fuse Infographic Introduces Izzy

Fuse is a game that has clearly been designed to be played with friends. Despite Insomniac Games insisting that you can play solo, there is no one protagonist who stands out as the true hero of the story, and a lot of energy has gone into promoting the four playable characters as a team. The infographics Insomniac has been producing to provide further details for each of these characters also focus on the ways in which those characters can work together, like this second one, which is for Izzy.

First, however, we get some more personal info on Isabelle herself. Her primary skills are listed as intelligence, communications, and first aid (so all more serious than Dalton's “reluctant leadership” skill). This suggests Izzy will be able to heal herself and her teammates, which will be useful in a co-op situation.

Slightly less useful facts include that she has spent 1% of her lifetime on Reddit (as well as 48% behind a computer, 31% in an apathetic childhood home, 12% in jail, and 8% smoking on a balcony), and that while she is a red-headed heroine she loathes the musical Annie. She also apparently types at 124 words per minute but commits federal offences at an impressive 157 per minute.

Most relevant to how the game will actually play, however, is the detailed look at her Fuse weapon, the Shattergun. Izzy acquires a target, shoots, and the target becomes encased in crystal. And here' we get another gentle suggestion that Fuse should be played with friends, as we're told this weapon works well when Izzy is “crystallizing enemies in cover for Naya to destroy with her warp rifle”.
